1. Information handled

Calculator inputs

Values you type (such as salary, age band, state, deductions, rent, or PF balance) are calculated locally by JavaScript in your browser. PDFs are also generated on your device. InHandPay does not transmit or retain values typed into those fields. If you open a prefilled link containing a value in its URL, the URL may appear in browser history and in ordinary hosting request logs.

Email updates

Some pages, such as the salary report, offer an optional form where you can submit your email address to be notified when tax rules or salary calculations change. Providing it is entirely voluntary: nothing on the site is withheld if you do not, and reports and calculators work exactly the same either way.

When you submit that form, your email address is sent to and stored by our third-party email provider, which acts as a processor on our behalf and may store it outside India. The address is used only to send occasional updates about the site and Indian salary or tax changes. We do not sell it, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not link it to any figures you entered into a calculator, since those are never transmitted to us in the first place. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and you may also ask us to delete your address using the contact details in section 11.

Technical information

When you load the site, our hosting or CDN provider may automatically process information such as your IP address, browser and device type, requested URL, date and time, referring page, and security or error logs.

Analytics information

We use Google Analytics to understand page visits, traffic sources, and general usage patterns. Before page URLs are sent to Analytics, InHandPay removes calculator and share-link query parameters, including salary amounts and offer labels. Campaign parameters may be retained so we can understand how visitors found the site. Google may process device, browser, approximate location, and interaction information under its own privacy terms.

Third-party content and links

Advertising is delivered by Google AdSense, and the Product Hunt badge is fetched from Product Hunt’s servers. Loading third-party content may disclose request metadata such as your IP address, browser details, and the page you are viewing to those providers. If you visit Product Hunt, SuperProfile, or another external service, that service handles information under its own privacy policy.

Purchases and communications

If you purchase a digital product through SuperProfile, the checkout or payment providers may collect contact, transaction, and payment information. InHandPay does not directly receive complete card or payment-instrument details. If you contact Centaur Creations, we receive the information contained in your message.

2. Cookies and local storage

InHandPay’s own code stores one item in your browser’s local storage: your light or dark theme preference, saved on your device so the site renders in your chosen theme on later visits. It is not a cookie, is never transmitted to us, and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

Beyond that, cookies and similar technologies on this site may be set by Google for analytics and advertising, as described in this Policy. Google acts under its own policies. We will update this Policy before introducing materially different tracking.

3. Advertising

InHandPay is a free service funded by advertising. We use Google AdSense to display ads.

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
• Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
• You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info or youronlinechoices.com.
• Google’s handling of data in its advertising products is described in the Google Privacy & Terms: how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Ads are served alongside our content and are clearly distinguishable from it. Advertisers do not receive the values you type into any calculator, since those never leave your browser.

Consent in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you will be shown a consent message before personalised advertising cookies are used, and you may accept, refuse, or manage your choices. You can reopen that message at any time to change or withdraw your consent using the privacy or consent option provided by the message. Where you refuse consent, Google may serve non-personalised ads, which still require basic technical information such as your IP address to deliver and to counter fraud.

4. Why information is used

Technical, communication, or transaction information may be used to:

• deliver, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the site;
• measure traffic sources and aggregate site usage;
• fund the site by serving advertising, as described in section 3;
• respond to questions or support requests;
• send occasional site and Indian salary or tax updates, but only to addresses submitted voluntarily through an email form;
• administer purchases where applicable; and
• comply with law or protect legal rights.

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We do not share the values you enter into our calculators with advertisers or anyone else. Personalised advertising, where you have not opted out or refused consent, is carried out by Google and its partners using their own cookies under the terms in section 3.

5. Disclosure

Information may be handled by hosting, CDN, advertising, checkout, payment, or support providers where needed to provide their services. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, lawful process, or to protect users, the service, or legal rights. Third-party services you choose to visit process information independently under their own terms and policies.

6. Retention

Calculator inputs processed locally are not retained by us. An email address submitted for updates is retained by our email provider until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, after which it is removed from the mailing list. Technical logs are retained according to provider controls and only for as long as reasonably necessary for security, troubleshooting, and legal compliance. Communications and transaction or support records may be retained while needed to respond, fulfil a purchase, keep required business records, or resolve a dispute.

7. International processing and security

Service providers may process information in India or other countries, subject to applicable requirements. We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the information handled, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

8. Your choices and rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request information about personal data we process, correction or updating, erasure, withdrawal of consent where consent is the basis of processing, or grievance redressal. Because calculator inputs are not stored or associated with an account, we cannot retrieve calculator values after your browser session.

9. Children

The site is not directed specifically to children and does not knowingly request personal data from them. A child should use the site with a parent or lawful guardian.

10. Changes

We may update this Policy when the site, service providers, or legal requirements change. The revised date will appear above.
